Where Are They Now?

 Randy Byrd

I worked in Food Service from 1975 thru 80. As a supervisor in '81 I transferred over to the Planning and Design Department (a division of Maint) and did quite a bit of the designs for what the park built from 81 thru 83. I was in college working on an architectural degree at the time. In the fall of '83 I graduated, quit the park, and went to work for an Arch. firm in north Arlington, AIG, Inc. 17 years later, I still work there and am one of the owners. Because of my park background and contacts I continued to do projects for the park from '83 to about '88
or '89. Somewhere in the mid 80's we did 6 stands for Food Service during one off season that were built by March opening. That was intense. And quite rewarding to finally get my two cents in on designing some food stands. We also did the big food stand that is in the USA section (or what ever it is called now) called at the time, The USA FoodCourt.
